FRUTO DO PÉ (FRUIT OF THE TREE) is a 15 minutes documentary that follows the story of a samba Brazilian musician in London. Samba is an art and expression that originated from slavery in Brazil and that tells a lot about social and political aspects of the country, which is in the limelight this year because of its presidential election. Through Antonio’s story, this documentary shows the Brazilian inequality, poverty, the cultural and family heritage of samba and how this art can transform and influence someone’s life.
